What is a voice party room?
A voice party room is a live audio space where a small group talks on the mics while everyone else listens, chats and reacts. Think of it as a talk show, a hangout and a group call rolled into one. There is no camera, so it is easy to drop in whenever you like, from your sofa, your commute or your lunch break.
Every YooTalk voice room has its own name, cover image, description and pinned announcement, so you always know what a room is about before you join. Some rooms are about music and karaoke, some about language practice, some are just friends hanging out late at night.
Choose your room size: 8, 12 or 16 mic seats
When you create a room you pick how many people can be on the mics at once. Eight seats keep a conversation close and personal. Twelve or sixteen seats suit bigger groups, games and community events. Listeners do not take up seats, so the audience can grow as big as the conversation deserves.
Host controls that keep your room yours
The host always owns seat 1 and has the tools to run a smooth, friendly room:
- Lock or unlock any seat, and mute any seat when it gets noisy.
- Appoint up to 10 room admins to help you moderate.
- Choose free seating, where anyone can take an empty mic, or approve-to-join, where you accept each request.
- Pin an announcement so newcomers know the topic and the house rules.
- Remove people who break the rules, and report anyone who needs a second look from our safety team.
Public rooms and private rooms
Public rooms appear in the app for anyone to discover. If you would rather keep it to your friends, make your room private and protect it with a 4-digit code. Only people you share the code with can get in, which is perfect for a birthday hangout, a study group or a band rehearsal.
Gifts, levels and good vibes
Listeners can show love to the people on the mics with animated gifts, sent one at a time or in bundles of 10 or 99. Some gifts take over the whole screen for a moment. As you send gifts your level rises from 1 to 10, and your level badge shows next to your name in every room.
