Community Guidelines

Last updated: · Version 1.0

YooTalk is a place to talk, party and make friends. These guidelines apply everywhere on YooTalk: voice and video rooms, live streams, PK battles, short videos, photo posts, comments, profiles, room names and covers, and private chat. They are part of our Terms of Service.

Be kind, be real, be safe. If something would not be OK at a party with friends and strangers, it is not OK on YooTalk.

What we welcome

  • Music, singing, DJ sets, comedy, storytelling, gaming, language practice, debates and hangouts.
  • Friendly competition in PK battles.
  • Celebrating hosts with gifts, because you want to, never because someone pressured you.
  • Hosts who keep their rooms welcoming and moderate fairly.

What is not allowed

Nudity and sexual content

No nudity, sexual acts, sexually explicit or suggestive performances, or sexual services. No soliciting sexual content or contact, including in private chat.

Minors

YooTalk is for people aged 18+. No one under that age may use the app. Any content that sexualises, endangers or exploits a minor is banned, and we report it to the authorities. See our Child Safety Standards.

Hate

No attacks or slurs based on race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or serious illness, and no hateful symbols or ideologies.

Harassment and bullying

No threats, insults, targeted abuse, sexual harassment, unwanted repeated contact, doxxing (sharing someone's private information), or coordinating others to pile on.

Violence and dangerous behaviour

No threats or incitement of violence, glorification of violent acts, terrorism or violent extremism, graphic gore, or dangerous challenges.

Self-harm and suicide

No content that promotes or encourages self-harm, suicide or eating disorders. If someone appears to be at risk, report them so our team can respond, and contact local emergency services if there is immediate danger.

Weapons and drugs

No selling, trading or promoting weapons, ammunition, explosives, illegal drugs or controlled substances, or showing drug use.

Scams and fraud

No scams, phishing, fake giveaways, "double your coins" offers, requests for money or account details, selling accounts or coins outside the app, self-gifting, or using multiple accounts to game gifts, levels, PK results or earnings.

Gambling

PK battles are entertainment. Do not use gifts, rooms or battles to run bets, wagers, lotteries or gambling of any kind.

Impersonation and misrepresentation

Do not pretend to be another person, brand, YooTalk staff, or a verified creator. Do not lie about your age.

Spam

No repetitive messages, mass unsolicited messages, misleading links or artificial engagement.

Intellectual property

Only post content you own or have permission to use. See our Copyright policy.

Illegal activity

Do not use YooTalk for anything illegal where you or the other person are.

How we enforce

We use automated moderation for uploaded videos, user reports and human review. Depending on how serious the violation is and your history, we may:

  1. Warn you and remove the content.
  2. Mute you in a room or restrict features such as messaging, going live or sending gifts.
  3. Close a room or end a live stream.
  4. Suspend your account temporarily.
  5. Ban your account permanently, and the devices or new accounts used to get around a ban.

Severe violations, including anything involving the sexual exploitation of minors, credible threats of violence or serious fraud, lead to an immediate permanent ban and, where appropriate or required, a report to law enforcement. Earnings connected to violations may be forfeited under the Creator Earnings Terms.

Hosts and room admins can mute, remove and lock seats in their own rooms. They must use these tools fairly and are also bound by these guidelines.

How to report

  • In the app: tap the ⋯ menu on a profile, room, live stream, video, comment or message and choose Report. Reports are confidential: we don't tell the person who reported them.
  • Block: block anyone from their profile or from a room.
  • By email: safety@yootalk.live (for child-safety reports, see Child Safety Standards).

How to appeal

If we removed your content or restricted your account and you think we got it wrong, reply to the notice in the app or email support@yootalk.live within 30 days with your username and why you think the decision was a mistake. A different reviewer will look at it and let us know the outcome. Bans for child sexual exploitation are not reversed.

Changes

We update these guidelines as YooTalk grows. The latest version is always on this page.
