How long we keep data
- Account and profile data: while your account is active. When you delete your account, we deactivate it immediately and delete or anonymise it within 30 days.
- User content: until you delete it or your account is deleted. Copies in backups are overwritten on a rolling cycle of up to 90 days.
- Chat messages: until deleted by you or with your account. The other person in a conversation keeps their copy.
- Payment, gift, earnings and withdrawal records: kept for the period required by tax and accounting law (typically 5 to 10 years, depending on the country), even after account deletion.
- Identity-verification documents: for as long as needed to verify you and meet anti-fraud and legal obligations, then deleted.
- Safety records: reports and enforcement records may be kept longer where needed to prevent banned users returning or to comply with legal obligations.
Security
We use encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, logging and least-privilege access to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
