Child Safety Standards

Last updated: · Version 1.0

YooTalk Technologies Ltd. ("YooTalk") has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards apply to everything on YooTalk: profiles, voice and video rooms, live streams, PK battles, short videos, photo posts, comments and private messages.

Our standards

  1. YooTalk is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use YooTalk. We remove accounts that we find belong to anyone under that age.
  2. Prohibited, without exception:
    • any content that depicts, promotes, normalises or links to the sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor, including drawn, animated or AI-generated content;
    • sexualising minors in any way, including comments about a minor's body;
    • grooming: building a relationship with a minor for sexual purposes, including asking a minor for images, to move to another app, or to meet in person;
    • sextortion: threatening to share intimate images to obtain more images, money or other things;
    • trafficking or advertising minors for sexual purposes;
    • sharing, requesting or trading CSAM, or links to it.
  3. Enforcement. When we find CSAE content or behaviour we remove it, permanently ban the accounts involved and take steps to stop them returning. These bans are not reversed on appeal.
  4. Reporting to authorities. We report apparent CSAM and child exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline and/or to the relevant national authority or law enforcement where the content was found, as the law requires. We preserve relevant evidence as required by law to support investigations.
  5. Compliance. We comply with applicable child-safety laws in the countries where YooTalk is available, and cooperate with law enforcement requests made through proper legal process.

How we detect and prevent CSAE

  • Age requirement at sign-up and removal of underage accounts.
  • Automated moderation of uploaded videos and images.
  • In-app reporting on every profile, room, stream, video, comment and message, reviewed by a trained human safety team. Child-safety reports are prioritised.
  • Message requests: messages from people you do not follow go to a separate inbox.
  • Host tools: private rooms, seat locks, mute and removal.
  • Staff training on recognising grooming and exploitation.

How to report

  • In the app: tap ⋯ on the profile, room, stream, video, comment or message, choose Report, and select the child-safety option.
  • By email: safety@yootalk.live. Include the username, a description and, if possible, the time. Do not send, screenshot or share CSAM itself, not even to us.
  • To the authorities: in the US, report to NCMEC at report.cybertip.org. Elsewhere, contact your national hotline (see inhope.org) or the police.
  • If a child is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number first.
