What is a PK battle?
PK stands for “player kill”, a term borrowed from gaming. In a YooTalk PK battle, two hosts go head to head on a split screen in a timed, live face-off. They sing, joke, dance, debate or perform whatever their fans love most, and both audiences watch the same battle at the same time.
Viewers back their favourite host by sending gifts. Each gift adds points to that host’s side of the score bar. When the timer ends, the side with more gift points wins the round. It is part talent show, part friendly rivalry, and always unpredictable.
Support your host
Gifts in a PK battle are a way to cheer for a host, in the same way you might applaud at a show. They are support, not stakes. Nobody bets on a PK battle, nobody wagers coins on an outcome, and viewers do not win money from a battle. PK battles are entertainment, not gambling.
Why hosts love PK
PK battles are a great way for hosts to meet new audiences:
- Both hosts’ fans watch together, so each host reaches new people.
- The timer and score bar make every minute exciting to watch.
- Friendly rivalries between hosts keep fans coming back.
Still getting better
We are actively shaping PK battles with our community, so round lengths and features may change as we learn what hosts and fans enjoy most. The details shown in the app are always the current rules.
